Balnald Farmhouse is an impressive residence set down a private drive near Fortingall (0.5m), which has been lovingly converted from the original farm buildings whilst retaining many period features.
The grand drawing room is double height with a wood-burning stove at its heart and what was the milking parlour is now a dining room with a table that converts into a snooker table. Above the charming kitchen are two double bedrooms, a twin room and shower room. In the other wing is a snug and a library with two further bedrooms above. Outside, a tennis court and hot tub can be found within the extensive grounds.
Munro baggers will enjoy the Glen Lyon Horseshoe, a 10 mile route from Invervar (5m) that takes in 4 munros along the way. Fortingall is easily reached on foot for bar meals at the restaurant there. There are watersports and boat trips that run out on Loch Tay (3m) and a lovely sandy beach at Kenmore (6m).
