This cottage has a living room with a living-flame gas fire, a kitchen with dining area and door to the garden. There are two double bedrooms, each with king-size double bed. An additional fold-down single bed is available for a child. Shower room with toilet.
There is a private garden with summer house and furniture, plus shared access to extensive walled-garden grounds. There is also grazing and a stable available for one pony, by arrangement. There is private parking for up to 4 cars. A ramp is available for wheelchair access. Pets are welcome, and there is full access to dog-proofed grounds and a small wood; dog care can be arranged if required while guests are sightseeing. In June/July/August usually only week-long bookings can be confirmed (usual start day in summer is a Friday).
The property is in a superb location making the most of the magnificent golf courses and beaches of East Lothian and only 10 miles on the A1 to Edinburgh city centre. This stylishly decorated and furnished, detached holiday cottage is privately set in very extensive gated walled garden grounds. On the edge of Tranent, close to the Firth of Forth, there is a good variety of activities nearby, such as horse racing at Musselburgh, go-karting at Longniddry, the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick, historic houses at Lennoxlove, Dirleton and the memorable ruins of Tantallon, National Museum of Flight at East Fortune, National Trust gardens at Inveresk Lodge, along with hill walking in the Lammermuirs or the Saltire Trail, fishing and cycling.
