Barnsmuir is situated in pleasant rural surroundings on a 500 acre farm growing strawberries, raspberries, broccoli, wheat, barley and also home to some ponies, sheep and goats. There is plenty of safe parking for all vehicles.
Accommodation comprises of a large double room with a king size bed and additional single bed. There is also another double room. All rooms are maintained to a high standard. All rooms are centrally heated making your stay a comfortable one. Each bedroom has a flat-screen TV, wi-fi and tea and coffee tray. Hairdryer and ironing facilities are also available. The house offers superb views over the Firth of Forth to the Isle of May. The farmland adjoins the coastal path and guests staying in the farmhouse are able to enjoy walks over the farmland.
Breakfast is served in the dining room offering superb views to the Isle of May. There is a choice of traditional breakfast, continental, porridge or smoked fish, to set you up for the day ahead.
The village of Crail offers a scenic harbour, one of the most photographed in Scotland, also many historic buildings, various shops, a pottery and museum. There are plenty of walks including the Fife coastal route. Crail has 2 golf courses, the well known Balcomie Links and the Craighead. The Old Course at St Andrews is only 10 miles from Barnsmuir.
