Bay Cottage is a semi-detached cottage located in the centre of Banff in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This homely accommodation is conveniently located close to the town’s amenities, harbour and marina area and coastal beaches, providing an ideal home from home to enjoy with friends or family.
The ground floor offers an inviting sitting room with comfy seating, electric fire, TV and DVD player, perfect for relaxing cosy nights.
The modern kitchen offers a range of fixtures and fittings to make your stay easy and comfortable, including full size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, hob/range and dining table. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen utensils are also provided.
The eye-catching wooden stair case leads to the first floor, where you will find two bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The family bathroom offers a WC, basin and bath with overhead shower.
Bedroom 1, the master room, offers a double bed, built in wardrobes and en-suite with WC, basin and cubicle shower.
Bedroom 2 offers zip-lock beds which can be configured to one king-size bed, or two single beds, to meet guest requirements. The room also has built in wardrobes.
To the rear of the property there is a shared lawn garden where you can use the provided bistro set to sit out and enjoy a refreshing drink or two. A secure lockable storage area offers washing machine and tumble drier, and a space for storing bicycles, golfing equipment or other sports gear.
The property is located on a residential street with ample free on street parking.
One well behaved pet is welcome to stay.
Banff and the nearby town of Macduff offer bars and restaurants, local shops, a swimming pool and sports facilities, museum and heritage buildings, and Macduff Marine Aquarium. Golfers can enjoy two courses nearby, Duff House Royal Golf Club in Banff, and Royal Tarlair Golf Club in Macduff, with many more courses available within a short driving distance.
A coastal trail will take you around nearby small former fishing villages and towns, each unique and picturesque with plenty to explore. A range of wildlife including dolphins, seals, whales and birds frequent the Moray Firth shores, and the Northern Lights can be spotted during the winter months.
Whisky enthusiasts can reach Glenglassaugh Distillery within a 15 minute drive from Banff, and the Speyside Whisky trail, which offers a plethora of distilleries, starts within a 45 minute drive.
