The ethos of this retreat is for you, the guest, to explore for yourself what you feel you may need. For example, do you need peace and isolation during your stay, with very little disturbance? Perhaps you feel you need a small range of therapies to help you relax? Or maybe you feel you need to share some of your concerns with others on the retreat - it’s about you as an individual.
You will have your own private room, in a quiet Victorian house built in 1888. There will be no schedules or itineraries to follow, as you will have the opportunity to be involved as little, or as much as you wish. You can choose to take breakfast privately in your own room, or with the other guests if you prefer.
This retreat house is all about treating you as an individual, as we are all unique, with unique requirements. We all need time out from our busy lives, and sometimes that may mean doing as little as possible, and being allowed to be left alone. This sets ‘Be and Breathe’ apart from other retreats on offer, and gives you, the guest, an opportunity to really ‘chill out’.
There will of course be therapies on offer, and some of these will be provided ‘in house’ or externally. Among the therapies on offer are -
* Counselling/Listening sessions (particularly addressing stress, anxiety, unhappiness and low mood)
* Meditation
* Mindfulness walking
* Indian head massage
* Hand and foot massage
* Aromatherapy
* Acupuncture.
Some advanced notice is required for the therapies to be arranged. There are Yoga and Tai Chi classes available on the island should you require them.
Continental breakfast is provided during your stay, tea/coffee/herbal tea facilities are in every room, and will be replenished daily.
So ‘Be and Breathe’ is about simplicity, to enable you to feel rejuvenated and replenished, and to allow you to have the space you need, in a very comfortable environment.
