Beaumont Lodge is a large detached Victorian home. We are a four star establishment. All the guest rooms are en suite and non smoking. We have a ground floor double room, the upstairs room at the front of the house has a double and single bed. The family room comprises of 2 rooms with a connecting door, one room has two single beds the other room has a double and single bed. The family room faces the rear of the property over looking the sea. All the rooms have access to free Wi Fi, hospitality trays, hot water bottles, televisions and digital radio alarm clocks. All our rooms are available for single occupancy. If you are unsure if we can meet your booking requirements, please contact me. We provide complimentary home baking, sherry, sweets, fruit and reading material for our guests. The guests are given their own keys and are welcome to come and go as they please. We can store bicycles in our garage and have a large car park at the front of our property. All our rooms are available for single occupancy
We provide a wide choice of breakfast dishes to suit all tastes, including kippers and home made pancakes You can have a choice of cooked and continental breakfast, Your host is a keen and accomplished cook and uses the best quality produce available. Breakfast is served in the dining room at individual tables.
Local Attractions
As a visitor to Anstruther there is much to see and do in this area. The coastal path will take you through the picturesque villages of East Fife. Each of these villages has its own special atmosphere and there is a small maritime influence in all of them. You can walk part of the route and return by bus. The bus stop is beside the house.
This area used to be a busy fishing port and the Scottish Fisheries Museum is an extremely popular visitor attraction.
The Isle of May is extremely popular with our tourists. The small island lies 7 miles east of Anstruther. There are daily boat trips to the island, booking in advance is advised.
There are a number of national trust properties in this area, namely Kellie Castle, Falkland Castle and Hill of Tarvit.
Scotland's Secret Bunker is only 3 miles north of the town. It is a former government nuclear war headquarters for Scotland.
The new Byre Theatre in St Andrews hosts a variety of shows and events, it is only a 9 mile drive from Beaumont Lodge.
The Auld Kirk in St Monans was built in the 13th century, it stands in a unique setting by the shore.
Ellie and Earlsferry are 5 miles west of Anstruther, it offers a mile of golden sand, water sports are available.
Crail is to the east of Anstruther it must be the most photographed harbour in Scotland. Cambo gardens is situated a few miles north of Crail.
There are many delightful eating places in and around Anstruther, including the Cellar and Peat Inn which are both Michelin star establishments, booking is advisable.
