Beckhead is a two bedroom self-catering holiday cottage sleeping up to four people. Set in the Williamwood Country Estate, surrounded by mature woodland on the bank of Butcherbeck Burn (Scots word for a stream) . Very well situated for local market towns or children's activities. Powfoot Beach and golf course approximately 5 miles away. Access to the cottage from the major M74 motorway is only 10 minutes
This traditional Cottage is all on one level and as recently been renovated to a very high standard to ensure you have all your home comforts, Beckhead Cottage is ideal for families and couples. Comprises of a large well appointed open plan kitchen dining area, sitting room, a double en-suite bedroom and a twin en-suite bedroom. Lovely garden, and patio with outdoor seating. The TV has live stream camera's from various wildlife sites, where badgers, foxes, otters and roe deer are regularly seen.
We farm quality prime beef and sheep with careful thought for the environment . There are many themed walks around the farm, the loch walk to name just one, but all offer the chance to see the lovely rolling hills of the South of Scotland, the wildlife and of course the Highland coos. Farm tours are offered and farm expereinces, where you can help with the daily duties of the farm.
Beckhead cottage is strictly no smoking and is pet friendly.
