The cottage has been recently refurbished and offers spacious comfortable accommodation on one level, with double glazing, oil-fired central heating and an open, log burning fire. Features of the cottage are its modern well equipped kitchen, open-plan L-shaped lounge/dining room, spacious family bathroom and a 30 foot long conservatory with sitting and dining areas. There is a varied selection of books, board games, jigsaws, CDs and DVDs for those rainy days.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome in the cottage by prior arrangement, and an outdoor kennel is available if required.
The cottage is set in its own extensive grounds of 1 acre which are fully enclosed and laid mainly to lawn and feature a small pond. There is a patio area, with garden furniture and a view of Ben Newe - a great place to chill out and watch the deer and pheasants.
Belnaboth East is an ideal base for exploring a wide variety of interesting and historical places, and enjoying plenty of outdoor activities. Follow the Castle Trail and the Malt Whisky Trail; visit the Lost Gallery, Alford Heritage Centre and the Grampian Transport Museum. Come for the famous Lonach Highland Gathering, or the Braemar Highland Games.
For the more active, there are numerous local walks, as well as more strenuous walks and climbs in the Cairngorm National Park. Mountain bike trails are available nearby at the Lecht Ski Centre and Glenlivet. Or how about a game of golf at the many courses within the County, or a spot of fishing on the River Don?
