Bunkhouse accommodation at Rowardennan, run by the National Trust for Scotland.
The Ben Lomond Bunkhouse is situated at Ardess Lodge, 700m north of Rowardennan car park. It is part of the National Trust for Scotland Ranger Station at the base of Ben Lomond, and all profits from the bunkhouse go towards the mountain path repair, and habitat conservation, carried out by NTS rangers and volunteers on Ben Lomond.
It is a spacious and comfortable bunkhouse, ideal for groups of up to ten people who are looking for affordable, private and quiet accommodation.
Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with log burning stove and large, well equipped self-catering kitchen with dining area. Drying facilities are on site, as is a secure area for bag drop off and pick up. Upstairs you have two good sized bunkrooms, one sleeping six and one sleeping four. There are two bathrooms, one with shower and one with shower and bath.
Free tea, coffee and milk is provided, as well as bread and porridge oats for making breakfast, and we also have a small shop with some camping style food basics.
From 18 March 2022 we will be offering individual beds in dorms (4 bed bunkroom and 6 bed bunkroom) at £25 per person, per night, up to a maximum of 10 people, subject to government restrictions. It will still be possible to book the bunkrooms for exclusive use including a private bathroom, by booking all the beds in the room online or by contacting us directly.
The Ben Lomond Bunkhouse is a ten minute walk along the West Highland Way, from the forestry car park at Rowardennan. It is also possible to drive here though please be aware it is a forest track.
