Benview Cottage has the original forester's cottage layout with all the accommodation being on the ground floor and is appointed with all the modern appliances you would expect from a 4 star cottage. The cottage has 2 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 4 guests. The accommodation has a large well equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area, a twin room with flat screen TV and enjoying south facing views over the back garden and a king bedded room overlooking the front garden, and a large spacious family bathroom with shower over the bath. All beds have over sized duvets to add that extra touch of luxury! Both bedrooms also have electric alarm clocks and hairdryers.
The Living Room and Dining area has a lovely wood burning stove and views towards Ben Lomond. The cottage also has fully controllable oil fired central heating throughout making it warm and welcoming on the coldest days. In the lounge, for your entertainment we have free Wifi, a 42" HD Smart TV with Freesat, full internet access, catch-up TV and Netflix membership giving you a choice of hundreds of films, TV series and documentaries at no extra charge as well as a bluetooth mini HiFi with a good choice of music for your entertainment.
The kitchen, with views over the back garden and forestry beyond is fully equipped with DAB radio, electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher plus all the utensils you should need for preparing a meal.
The bathroom is warm and has a shower over the bath ideal for a relaxing soak after a days walking. Fluffy towels are provided so no need to pack any. Benview Cottage has a very large private and secure south facing garden which is ideal for children and pets. We welcome dogs at the cottage and there is no extra charges for their stay.
There is a barbeque area with outdoor seating (BBQ provided, please bring your own charcoal) and also a large secure storage shed for your bicycles and other sporting equipment. We have also provided comfy sun loungers if you fancy a day of just relaxing and catching some rays in the secluded garden. There is also ample parking space for 2 cars adjacent to the cottage and additional parking a short distance away. Also watch out for our visiting wildlife which includes pheasants, birds of prey, red squirrels,foxes, red and roe deer and a wide variety of smaller birds that come to enjoy our bird table and feeders
There is internet access freely available to our guests via a wireless connection so that you can keep in touch whilst on holiday if needed. Full instructions on how to connect are in our welcome pack.
