Black Isle Cottage is a traditional, stonebuilt 'but and ben' standing in its own garden in the little village of Balquhidder, between Loch Earn and Callander.
Many of Scotland's finest attractions are close by. Nearby Bens Vorlich, More and Stobinian will test your hill-walking mettle and Loch Earn (5m) is renowned for its sailing and wind surfing facilities.
The Trossachs and Loch Katrine are 25 miles to the south, while a 10 mile drive over Glen Ogle will bring you to Killin and Loch Tay, or drive to Oban and the west coast in little over an hour. Excellent food can be had locally in many fine restaurants and there are shops at Lochearnhead (5m).
