With an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna, a stunning lochan and a fully sustainable off grid energy system the Lodge at Blackhouse is available for exclusive use staycations, intimate events, corporate retreats and location filming & photography.
Our off grid location boasts incredible dark sky nights, with privacy and seclusion 4 miles from the main road, yet easily accessible from Scotland’s main airports and transport links.

Sustainability, its in our roots
We care deeply about the natural environment. That’s why our lodge and estate is fuelled by hydroelectric, biomass and solar. Water is sourced straight from the hills and is cleansed with UV light.
Our commitment to our guests and our community means we offset every stay by planting trees on the estate, so all you leave behind are your footprints whilst taking special memories with you.
Wherever possible we strive to do our best by keeping our surroundings as natural as we can to encourage as much biodiversity on the estate as we possibly can. This amongst other things lets ground nesting birds and insects to thrive, frogs to spawn and deer to visit.
Our eco friendly ethos also extends to the lodge itself with natural soaps and shower washes inspired by chemical free living.
