We offer family run self catering holiday cottages on our hill farm by Loch Awe amidst some of the finest scenery in Argyll. Blarghour offers a choice of quality Scottish holiday cottage accommodation, carefully managed, in situations of great beauty, which afford peace, privacy and seclusion while being centrally situated for touring.
Barr-beithe Upper - sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms. Set in a mature garden of heathers and azaleas enjoying superb views across Loch Awe from its lovely sunroom, lounge and master bedroom.
Barr-beithe Lower - sleeping 5 in 3 bedrooms South facing, enjoying wide sweeping views of Loch Awe, guests can appreciate the ever-changing beauty of the loch from the spacious sunroom.
Stable - sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms, Stable affords an exceptional vista over Loch Awe from three full-length windows which open onto a terrace. The elegant lounge/diner is lit by seven full-length windows and features a handsome spiral staircase. Unsuitable for children under five years.
Barn - sleeping 2. Specially designed to provide quality accommodation for 2 people with open plan living area on the first floor

Things to See and Do
Blarghour is a hill farm of 2,000 acres on which unrestricted walking may be enjoyed. Fishing on Loch Awe is by permit only and permits are available at the Farm. The surrounding countryside provides river fishing, climbing and hill-walking. Within easy reach during a days motoring are: Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Dunoon and Loch Eck, Oban, Crinan and the Isles of Mull, Iona, Islay, Gigha and Arran, Inveraray Castle, and an 18th Century jail. Cruachan Power Station and scenic Glen Orchy, Crinan Canal and historic Kilmartin Glen.

Centrally located for exploring the stunning scenery, history and wildlife of Argyll. We offer comfortable, quality accommodation in 4 cottages that can accommodate 2 – 6 people. We offer a friendly welcome with a cup of tea and home made shortbread set up for your arrival.
Barn Cottage - sleeps 2. An upside down house. Open plan living area upstairs and bedroom and bath/shower room below. Beds are zip-linked giving option of double or single beds.
Stable Cottage - sleeps 4. Large lounge with mulitple seating options and full length windows to enjoy views of the loch. Bath/shower room. Both bedrooms have zip-linked single or double option.
Barr-beithe Lower - sleeps 5. Has a cosy sunroom to enjoy the views over loch Awe. Surrounded by fields and a waterfall.
Barr-beithe Upper - sleeps 6. Has a large kitchen/dining area and a cosy sunroom to enjoy the views of Loch Awe. Sunroom is cosy all year round. Set in a mature shrub garden and surrounded by fields.
All properties are centrally heated and well appointed.
Use this as a base to explore Argyll. Visit Oban and its distillery, Inveraray Castle, walk along Crinan Canal, visit historic Kilmartin Glen. Take a drive through Glencoe or a ferry to one of the islands. There is lots to do.
