Welcome
Bokieha accommodates six guests and welcomes pets. The house boasts a rural setting in the heart of the West Mainland, overlooking beautiful sea views to the north and the most stunning scenery to the south of Hundland Loch, the Hoy hills and Kitchener's Memorial.
Our spacious accommodation will provide you with the perfect base for walking, fishing, shooting or visiting many of the fantastic archeological sites Orkney has to offer. We are just a few minutes drive from Kirbuster Farm Museum, Hundland, Boardhouse and Swanney Lochs, the Earl's Palace and the Brough of Birsay. The famous Skara Brae, Skaill House, Brough of Gurness and Maeshowe are all 10-15 mins drive away but if you fancy relaxing at home, then our south-facing patio adjoining the enclosed garden is the perfect place for al fresco dining (if the weather allows) where you can unwind in peace and quiet, sit back and take in our breathtaking views.
Enjoy your holiday!

Fishing
We are situated no more than 5 minutes drive from Swannay, Hundland and Boardhouse Lochs. Orkney is world-renowned for its excellent trout fishing where you can fish free (although, we would recommend you join the Orkney Trout Fishing Association, which we can help you with if you require).
Walking
Orkney offers the most scenic coastal walks with dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches and beautiful geos. You will most certainly enjoy an abundance of wildlife and flowers, maybe even catching a glimpse of the odd whale, porpoise or dolphin if you are lucky. You will also find inland walks using the right of ways and quite side roads. If you require more information or help planning your routes please get in touch.

If birdwatching is your passion, you will find an abundance of species in Orkney, from our coastal puffins, fulmars, and razorbills to the wetland curlews, redshanks, oystercatchers and whimbrel. You may also be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of buzzards,
