Boreray Cottage is a little Highland cottage with a thatched roof that stands in its own grounds just yards from the silver sand shore on North Uist island.

The perfect cottage for a romantic escape, this charming, whitewashed, thatched Highland retreat stands just yards from the silver sand shore 5 miles from Lochmaddy (shop, PO, petrol, ferry terminal) on the Hebridean Island of North Uist.
The traditional exterior belies the 21st century comfort within. Double glazed, with efficient electric heating and electric stove, and solid cherrywood floors throughout, the cottage is cosy and comfortable. There is even a four poster bed as a final romantic flourish!
The sea views are stupendous, the sunsets no less so. Guests will marvel at the range of birdlife, with everything from corncrakes to eagles, while the causeways linking North and South Uist and Benbecula make it possible to explore the length of this archipelago. There are boat trips from Lochmaddy and the Outdoor Centre there also offers kayaking, diving and rock climbing.
