Brainley Croft House offers self catering accommodation in a wonderful rural setting. A 200 year old farm croft tastefully renovated and developed over the last 20 years by John and Mel Allan, located in a tranquil spot just outside the Aberdeenshire village of Alford. The property is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Vale of Alford and offers a quiet getaway and a tonic for busy lives.
Close to Aberdeenshire attractions, The castle trail, Royal Deeside and the Cairngorm National Park, the house is divided into two, the owners live on one side in the house and the original croft side is available for rent.
Accommodation is self contained with private entrance and comprises of one double and one twin bedroom, a bathroom, a large recently refurbished open plan kitchen featuring exposed granite walls, open fireplace, granite and elm worktops and Aga cooker. All white goods are new for this season. Guests also have a private sitting room with wood burning stove and new UHD tv. This room has a bed settee which can be also be used as an additional double bed. Wifi is available throughout the house.
Guests are welcome to use the extensive garden with children’s playhouse, trampoline, BBQ area and lazy spa. The grounds and house have a superb view nestled in the Vale of Alford. Dogs and bikes (motor or pedal) are very welcome. The house will be available for self catering rental from April 2019.
The Croft is currently being fully renovated with new kitchen and appliances, the photos on the website give a flavour of the Croft’s character and are being updated constantly as and when the renovation is completed.
