Probably one of the sweetest cottages you will find in the area, Bramble Cottage is a beautiful and quaint property located in the rural Highlands near the town of Beauly. The cottage has been tastefully decorated and furnished to give a real feeling of a traditional, countryside retreat. Think pale blues, sunshine yellows and sage greens that all tie together beautifully. The cottage is extremely cosy and has an open fire in the sitting room, so put your feet up and enjoy a dram when you begin to wind down in the evening. The conservatory/dining room is a fantastic feature, with views across the rolling countryside hills that are lovely no matter what the weather is like outside. Whether you are ‘wining and dining’ or curled up on the sofa reading a good book, this will likely to be the room you spend most of your time in. As a traditional cottage that has stood for hundreds of years, one quirk of the first floor is that the wood panelled bedrooms are quite small and the coombed ceilings are low, which may mean that guests who are on the taller end of the scale may need to crouch a little (please note that the downstairs ceiling height is standard). This makes the bedrooms feel extremely cosy – almost as though you are inside an upturned fishing boat! Outside, the mature gardens are glorious in the Spring time and birds are regular visitors to the feeders that are placed around the property.
Ideally situated for exploring Loch Ness (which is a mere 6 miles away) and the Highland capital of Inverness, Bramble Cottage is perfect for those who are looking to spend most of their holiday in the great outdoors. With plentiful walks and trails to explore by bike or on foot, this cottage is a real peaceful retreat for both small families and couples to enjoy.
