Burnside Cottage is an eco-friendly b&b awarded Gold from Green Tourism in 2022. Located on the far north coast of Scotland, just 800m off the NC500, close to the Gills Bay ferry and a 10 minute drive from both John O'Groats & The Castle of Mey.

Under new ownership from 2018 the property has been renovated & decorated to a high standard. With ample off street parking guests can now access two suites, via a separate entrance, directly into the guest wing.

We offer an extensive breakfast, & optional evening, menu which we serve via Room Service. Both suites have dining areas, comfortable seating and flat screen TV's. We use fresh local, organic & higherwelfare produce where possible.Our menu's are a mix of classic and contemporary styles catering for both omni and vegan diets (we are happy to cater for most dietary requirements with prior notice). New from February 2024 we now have an Premises Licence and offer a drinks menu showcasing local producers.

The Grey Suite offers spacious ground floor accommodation which can either be booked as an en-suite double with a kingsize bed, or alternatively as a family option for up to four (the suite has an attached smaller room with full sized bunk beds).

The Raven Room is a spacious ground floor twin en-suite.

We are proud of our excellent reviews across all online sites & place customer satisfaction as our top priority.

We are dog friendly & have garage space for motorbikes, cycles & sports equipment.

We also offer a self catering studio flat for two located on the same site.
