On the shores of lovely Loch Awe, a 45 minute drive east of Oban, amid 2 acres of private grounds to which guests have free access, is Burnside House, a superb conversion of an old stone barn. Standing behind the 'Big House' (occupied only intermittently by other guests) it has its own woodland garden, balconies front and rear, a conservatory/summer house and a games room.
The interior is superbly furnished and full of character, with stone pillars and exposed beams in the spacious open plan living area. This is a house which cannot fail to delight!
The loch is famous for its fishing (permits available), while walking, riding and sailing are other popular pastimes. The Sonachan Hotel is a mile up the road, with shops at Inveraray and Lochawe village (12m).
