Secluded, peaceful and offering a high standard of comfortable, self-catering accommodation, Rhidorroch Estate is the perfect place in which to enjoy a holiday in the Scottish Highlands.
If you're looking to escape from the stresses of the modern world Cadubh is the perfect place to stay. Whilst only 6 miles from Ullapool (along the Estates private road) this cottage is deep in the very heart of Glen Achall.
Looking east from Cadubh cliffs rise steeply from the floor of the glen where from the comfort of the sun porch, golden eagles can be spotted nesting, bring your binoculars!
The main province of red and sika deer are on the hills behind the cottage and they are often found grazing outside the garden. The Rhidorroch river flows in front of Cadubh, with silver birch and rowan trees growing along the river bank, making a lovely spot for picnics and bird watching.
The cottage does not have electricity. The heating, lighting, cooking and fridge are all gas run.It really is the perfect place to 'get away from it all'.
Fishermen staying at the cottage are welcome to bank fish on the west of Loch Achall.
Accommodation sleeps 6; 1 double room, 1 twin room and 2 single rooms. The bathroom has a large, deep bath inviting a long, relaxing soak after a day on loch or hill. Kitchen cooker and fridge are both Calor Gas. Because the cottage does not have electricity we cannot provide a washing machine but the laundrette in Ullapool provides a same-day washing and/or a drying only service.
