The cottage offers accommodation for 5 and makes a perfect base for family holidays whether you want to explore the area or enjoy the local wildlife. The attractive garden has a hide from which you can see red squirrels, woodpeckers, siskins and deer.
Loch Leven is an excellent area for water fowl and bird watching whilst the historic 14th Century Castle is also well worth a visit to see where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. The loch is also open for fishing day tickets. Slightly further afield but good for day trips are St Andrews world famous for both golf and its superb beaches and also Stirling Castle, recently voted one of the globally acknowledged must visit places to visit by 'Lonely Planet'.
Edinburgh is only about an hour's drive so the cottage is well placed to explore all of the places of note in Scotland including even Braemar in the Cairngorm Mountains!

Just a wee note to say how much we enjoyed staying at your cottage last week. It's an idyllic part of the countryside and we adored the varied and wide range of wildlife we spotted along the way. Mr J - July 2014
