The cottage has been decorated to a high standard with a modern colour palette and furnishings. The comfortable living room has dvd player, stereo with ipod docking station, flat screen TV and patio doors overlooking the beautiful Kyles of Bute. They lead out to a decking area which completely surrounds the cottage and provides 2 outdoor seating areas, so that you can enjoy the sun rise and set. The views are simply breathtaking.
The bedrooms have hand crafted mattresses for maximum comfort and stunning views either over the Kyles or the magnificent natural countryside which surrounds the cottage, both a dream to waken up to. Sleeps 5 Adults or 4 Adults a 2 small children.
The kitchen is well equipped with all you will need for a comfortable stay, a dining table which seats 6, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, single and double fridges, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen also stocks additions like food processor, baking equipment, coffee percolator, casserole dishes and much more.
The cottage is in a quiet countryside setting away from main roads. It is adjacent to the golf course and a five minute walk to the local shops, restaurants, pubs, post office and village amenities store all in Kames. Tighnabruaich is just a further 10 minutes walk with additional local facilities.
There is also a local swing park, football/shinty pitch and tennis courts all 5 mins walk from the cottage. Other local activities are fishing, sailing, walking and cycle tracks. Plus magnificent local beaches.
Getting here by road (from Glasgow)
This fabulous drive takes you up the side of Loch Lomond. Take the A82 along Loch Lomond to Tarbet, then the A83 towards Inveraray and Campbeltown. At Cairndow, turn left on to the A815, then at Strachur turn right on to the A886, signposted Glendaruel and Colintraive. Just after Glendaruel turn right onto the A8003 towards Tighnabrauich. follow through for another mile until you get to Kames.
Getting here by road and ferry
Another option is to get the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon and enjoy a drive through remote, mountainous country. Take the A8 to Gourock, then Western Ferries from McInroy’s Point to Hunter’s Quay near Dunoon. Turn right on to A815, then shortly after leaving the 40mph area, turn left on B836, a winding single track road with passing places. After about 17 miles, turn right on A886, then left on A8003 towards Tighnabruaich, travel a further mile to Kames.
