A romantic 16th century pink castle, hidden away in a tree lined park, close to the beautiful Banffshire Coast, home of the Campbell Wilson family with 40 acres of grounds and interiors furnished with Art and Antiquities and all modern facilities.
This romantic 16th century pink castle, which is hidden away in a tree lined park, close to the beautiful Banffshire Coast, is the family home of the Campbell Wilsons. The castle sits in parkland of 40 acres and the interior is filled with antique furniture and the walls are hung with a wonderful collection of mainly British Romantic Art.
The gardens, which had undergone considerable landscaping in Victorian times, are still a work in progress but boast picturesque waterfalls, several ponds, an orchard, woodland walks, a laburnum avenue, a rhododendron tunnel and a rose garden.
We would hope anyone who decides to stay will have a most memorable experience, staying in the castle and sharing many of the reception rooms which have wood burning stoves or open fires for a very comfortable feeling on colder nights. Fresh flowers, where possible, from our own gardens, are arranged throughout the interior of the castle.
As to cuisine, the food is locally sourced for a great Scottish breakfast wherever possible.
The Campbell Wilsons look forward to welcoming you to their home.
