Castleknowe is set in an acre of garden enjoying spectacular views over the stunning setting of the Manor Valley in the south of Scotland. The house's tranquil location is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists, motor bikers, anglers, falconers and shooters or for someone who simply wants to unwind.
Since the year 2000, Sue and Roger have extended a warm welcome to Castlehill Knowe guests where you can relax and enjoy bed and breakfast in a happy environment with personal, friendly attention. We're dog friendly and offer free wi-fi as well.
We offer 3 well-appointed bedrooms - one twin, and two doubles. All offer en-suite facilities and all rooms are on the ground floor, and the views around the valley when you wake up can be breathtaking!
The Scottish Borders offer a wide variety of walks for varying skill levels. One of our favourites locally is Peebles - Cademuir - Kirkton Manor - Tweed Walkway, we are also located near the John Buchan Way. For cyclists the mountain biking trails available both at Glentress (about 7 miles) and at Innerleithen (about 12 miles) have a world-wide reputation for cyclists of all levels of MTB experience, from novice to extreme.
The lovely town of Peebles is situated in the west of the Scottish Borders, just 45 minutes from Edinburgh. It sits on the north bank of the River Tweed. The town hosts their annual Beltane Festival in June, this is a festival of local legend, history and tradition and in September, hosts the Peebles Highland Games, and these are just two of the many events throughout the year. The Eastgate Theatre has a busy calendar of drama, music and film events.
Or you can just relax in the peaceful rural location of Castlehill Knowe in the Manor Valley.
Sue and Roger offer you a very warm welcome into their home were you can relax in the comfortable visitors lounge or sit and enjoy the garden and birds from the panoramic setting of the sunny room.
