Located only 5 miles from the picturesque town of Moffat, in Dumfries and Galloway, Cauldholm is situated in a peaceful countryside location with beautiful views.
Guests have exclusive use of our Bothy suite. The suite comprises of 2 double en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to 4 persons.The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have freeview colour television with CD and DVD, radio/alarm and hairdryer. Bathrobes and toiletries are provided for your use. Your hospitality tray contains a selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. The suite also has a private lounge with full kitchen facilities should you wish to make use of these during your stay.
We are superbly placed, alongside the Annandale Way, for walkers and cyclists and other outdoor pursuits. We have secure storage for bicycles, motorcycles and ample off road parking for guests.

Walking
The Southern Upland Way is Scotland's longest and arguably most dramatic and unspoiled coast to coast National Trail. With a section on the doorstep, Cauldholm is ideally situated whether you plan to enjoy the entire 212 mile route in one glorious visit or sample it in smaller sections.
Grey mare's tail Nature reserve - a spectacular 200ft waterfall tumbles into the Moffat Water Valley from the waters of Loch Skene, high above in the Moffat Hills.
Cycling
The 7stanes are seven mountain biking centres spanning the south of Scotland, from the heart of the Scottish Borders to Dumfries and Galloway. The nearby centre at Ae has trails ideal for entry level riders and families, along with trails and downhill routes for the more experienced rider.
Golf
The excellent condition of this fine traditional Scottish moorland course and the welcoming clubhouse reinforce the notion that Moffat should be near the top of any golfer's list of courses to play.
Historic Attractions
Drumlanrig Castle is the ancient stronghold and Dumfriesshire home of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry. Set amidst the 120,000 acre Queensberry Estate, Drumlanrig is steeped in history, filled with treasures and boasts a beautiful Victorian Garden and Country Park. The Estate offers excellent woodland walks, interesting wildlife, way-marked cycle routes, championship mountain bike trails and a terrific adventure playground for the kids.
Traquair Castle in the Scottish Borders was originally a hunting lodge for the kings and queens of Scotland. It later became the home of the Earls of Traquair and is still lived in by the descendants of the Maxwell Stuart family. It is now well known as the oldest inhabited house in Scotland.
