Clachamish House was built in approx 1800 as the Estate Factors House for the surrounding crofts The house has unspoilt views of the valley and is sited in a mature and attractive garden which guests have access to. It is perfectly placed for exploring Skye being 9 miles from the busy hub of Portree, 12 miles from Dunvegan with its famous castle and 12 miles from Uig where a ferry leaves for the Outer Isles. Robin and Evelyn have lived on the island for a number of years and are more than happy to share their knowledge and experience, including some of Skyes best kept secrets. Supper and packed lunches are available on request. Both are life-long vegetarians and creative and enthusiastic cooks. Children are very welcome.
