The Coach House is situated 2 miles out of Drumnadrochit. It is located above a water fall and has nice views over the glen. Drumnadrochit is a touristic village with several restaurants, grocery shops, tourist shops and two exhibition centres all about the famous Loch Ness and Nessie.
Urquhart Castle is close by and there are a few places where you can book a boat tour on Loch Ness. The Great Glen Way is coming through Drumnadrochit, and the Affric Kintail way starts (or ends) in Drumnadrochit. There are loads of smaller walks nearby as well.
Inverness the Capital of the Highlands, a nice cosy city with many restaurants, museums and two shopping centres is only 16 miles away.
Further afield the West Coast including Plockton, Isle of Skye, Fort William and Ben Nevis and the renowned Inverewe Gardens are all within a day’s excursion. Aviemore and the Cairngorms are about hours’ drive and a bit further afield to the east is whisky country, where many of the well-known malts are distilled. The Coach House: sleeps four people. There is a spacious fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. A lovely high ceiling living area, with a cosy wood burner, smart tv and with large windows and two terrace doors to give it an open feeling.
There is a double bedroom en-suite, a bunk bedroom and a family bathroom.
Above the kitchen is a landing, where you can relax. There is also a single bed, please note this can be used, but it is not a bedroom (no blinds, so it might be too light for some).
A car is necessary, as you are 2 miles out of Drumnadrochit and there is no public transport. There is a lot to explore in the Scottish Highland.
