The property has been recently refurbished and is furnished and equipped to a high standard.
Tarbert is a pretty fishing village which is only around 2 ½ hours from Glasgow and ideally situated to explore the beautiful surrounding area. The 88 mile Kintyre Way begins in Tarbert and there are many shorter scenic walks beginning in the village. Tarbert is also close to the ferry terminals making it an ideal base for trips to the islands of Gigha, Islay, Jura and Arran. The Portavadie ferry, which departs from the village of Tarbert, provides access to the attractive Kyles of Bute. Downstairs the house consists of an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen area. This area is well equipped with electric oven and hob, washing machine, microwave, fridge, radio/CD player, TV and DVD player. The lounge also has a bed settee (approx ¾ of a full double bed size). The lounge window has beautiful views over the harbour and village. There is also a small patio area to the front of the house.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom, toilet and an en-suite shower. Again the bedroom enjoys beautiful views, there is also a window seat so that you can sit and enjoy the view!
The house is ideally suited for a couple. However the bed settee downstairs allows for more flexibility and the house could also be used for 2 people wishing separate beds or a couple plus a single person. Unfortunately due to the steep internal stairs the house is not suitable for those with mobility problems or for young children/babies. It is also unsuitable for pets.
The house is centrally situated and only a short walk from the hotels, galleries, cafes and shops of the village.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the price and the house is heated by electric heating. Due to the central situation of the house there is no private parking, however free parking is available on the harbour side, only a few minutes' walk away. It is also possible to make short stops outside the house to drop off luggage. Smoking is not allowed in the house.
Please don't hesitate to phone or to e-mail the owners for any help in planning your trip to our lovely area!
