Crawfield Grange was originally built as a barn or steading and converted by the present owners in 1989. For those wishing only for a quiet supper, The Lairhillock Inn is only a 3 minute drive away and is an old coaching inn offering comfortable and atmospheric surroundings whilst you enjoy the very good food and ale on offer.
There are many activities in the area as well as places of historic interest including the world famous Dunnottar castle. This truly is castle country and you will be spoiled for choice as to which ones to visit. If Malt Whisky is your passion, you will find plenty of distilleries to sample. Wildlife, golf, walking, swimming-in the outdoor pool-fishing and sailing are only a few of the activities available in the area. By Rail Nearest Railway Station is Stonehaven. Exit railway station and follow signs for town centre. At traffic lights in town centre Market Square, turn left and continue on this road until the mini roundabout. Take the 1st exit from mini roundabout. Drive for approximately 1/2 mile and turn left onto the B979 signposted Netherley and Peterculter. Follow this road for 3 miles and Crawfield Grange is situated on the right-signposted Crawfield Grange (house is on the right hand side of the B979, opposite the Mid Backburn turnoff).
By Air Nearest Airport is Aberdeen. From Aberdeen Airport follow signs south for A90 Dundee and Perth. From the A90 immediately past Portlethen take the right turn signposted Durris. Follow this road for 4 miles to the T junction and turn left onto the B979. Drive for 2 miles and Crawfield Grange is situated on the left-signposted Crawfield Grange, (Look out for North Hilton followed by South Hilton then Crawfield Grange all on the left side of the road).
By Ferry Nearest Ferry Port is Aberdeen. From Aberdeen follow signs south for A90 Dundee and Perth. From the A90 immediately past Portlethen take the right turn signposted Durris. From the Northbound A90 Take the 3rd exit to Stonehaven signposted Peterculter and Stonehaven. As you leave the slip road turn right onto the B979 to Peterculter and Netherley, continue for 3 miles and Crawfield Grange is situated on the right-signposted Crawfield Grange (house is on the right hand side of the B979, opposite the Mid Backburn turnoff).
From the Southbound A90 Take the right hand exit signposted Durris immediately after Portlethen, approximately 5 miles south of Aberdeen. Follow this road to the end (4 miles) and turn left onto the B979. Drive for approximately 2 miles and Crawfield Grange is situated on the left-signposted Crawfield Grange (Look out for North Hilton followed by South Hilton then Crawfield Grange all on the left side of the road).
