Creel Cottage is set in a wonderful seaside setting in the fishing village of St Abbs on the Berwickshire coastline of the Scottish Borders.
This traditional fisherman’s cottage retains much of its original charm and has a cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove, as well as three attractive bedrooms upstairs.
The rocky promontory of St Abbs Head is home to a Nature Reserve with a circular coastal path and there is a fantastic sandy beach and watersports at Coldingham Bay (1.5m). Eyemouth (5m) is just the place to stop for some award-winning fish and chips and a spot of seal feeding in the harbour. A trip over to Holy Island is also highly recommended. Berwick-upon-Tweed (14.5m) has plenty of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, as well a train station that links up with the east coast main line.
