Luxury toiletries, towels & dressing gowns are all provided The cottage is nestled in the old cobble-stone courtyard at Galson Farm & was converted from the old barn with a private entrance, parking, outdoor seating & access to the walled garden with views towards to Atlantic ocean. With the Guesthouse next door we are always there to help & gives you the opportunity to order drinks, breakfast or our Sunday Sharing Platter. The farm is now a working croft so if you wish to see what croft life is like you can meet the sheep with their lambs or just take a stroll around Croft 19 & watch summer sunsets, with seating throughout why not take a picnic. From the doorstep just 5 minutes walk is direct access to the beach which is perfect for those that enjoy coastal walking. Walk the rugged coastline of Lewisean gneiss (some of the oldest rock formations in the world) & see sandy coves, seabirds, wildlife or be lucky enough to spot otters or the sea eagles soaring overhead. North West Lewis offers a good selection of places to eat, drink & shop. A short drive takes you to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse, the golden sands of Eoropie beach, Port of Ness with its pretty harbour & stunning beach, the beautful little cove at Port Stoth, Ness Museum, & the Ballantrushal single standing stone. The Callanish Stones, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village & Uig are all on the west coast within easy reach & with Harris just 1 hour away you can make have a good day out. By road from Stornoway take the A857 North to Barvas approx 12 miles then continue on the road following the signs right to Ness. Galson Farm is approx 8 miles ahead and is signposted on the main road as you enter South Galson.
From Stornoway bus staion take the W1 to Ness. Approx 20 miles North is South Galson
