Dhivach lodge is situated 2 miles out of Drumnadrochit. It is located above a water fall and has nice views over the glen. Drumnadrochit is a touristic village with several restaurants, grocery shops, tourist shops and two exhibition centres all about the famous Loch Ness and Nessie.
Urquhart Castle is close by and there are a few places where you can book a boat tour on Loch Ness. The Great Glen Way is coming through Drumnadrochit, and the Affric Kintail way starts (or ends) in Drumnadrochit. There are loads of smaller walks nearby as well.
Inverness the Capital of the Highlands, a nice cosy city with many restaurants, museums and two shopping centres is only 16 miles away.
Further afield the West Coast including Plockton, Isle of Skye, Fort William and Ben Nevis and the renowned Inverewe Gardens are all within a day’s excursion. Aviemore and the Cairngorms are about hours’ drive and a bit further afield to the east is whisky country, where many of the well-known malts are distilled. Dhivach Lodge: It has a fully equipped kitchen/diner equipped with everything need to make a nice meal. It has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and table and chairs. Next to the kitchen is a large dining room with an open fire and to the left is the original Bothy where it all began, a nice place to relax and have a coffee, with stunning views. Close the kitchen is a nice outdoor patio.
At the other side of the building is a large studio, with a cosy sofa’s, a wood burner and a smart tv.
Dhivach Lodge sleeps 10 people. There are 5 double bedrooms. One is bedroom is an en-suite, there are two bedrooms connected to one bathroom (Jack & Jill). And there are 2 bedrooms, which can make use of a family bathroom. There are also two separate toilets nearby.
In the basement is a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
