Distillery House
Distillery House was built in 1840 and occupies the perfect corner plot in the heart of Bowmore, with the stone built harbour to one side and the iconic Bowmore Round Church to the other.
Once home to the previous owners of Bowmore Distillery as well as the Distillery Cooper at another time, Distillery House offers spacious accommodation, yet has the feel of a much-loved, cosy, family home.
Inside your cottage, you will find a large kitchen, dining and living space to the right, as you enter the main door. Enjoy leisurely meals at the large oak dining table then retire in a comfy chair with a dram. A good place to be if you want to take it easy with friends and family.
Distillery House has: 4 bedrooms, all ensuite; 3 rooms with two single beds and 1 room with a double and single bed.
Distillery House used to be a shop that sold just about everything. Shoes, toys, DIY and home repair equipment - you name it!
However, the house has always had some connection to Bowmore Distillery. Back in the 1800's, Mr & Mrs Mutter lived here. James Mutter and his brother William were the 2nd owners of Bowmore Distillery after the Simpsons.
