Dreamwood Cottage is situated on the A811 one mile from Gartocharn and three miles from Drymen. The apartment is located on the grounds of The Old School House, and adjoins Loch Lomond RSPB Reserve. Siberian Larch clads a new extension to the original stone building which dates back to 1780, creating a unique space ideal for one to four guests. The cottage is in the beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and perfectly situated for exploring all the park has to offer, visiting the bright city lights and night life of Glasgow or the West end. The local area has a great selection of high quality pubs and restaurants, visit a whiskey distillery or Lomond shores shopping village. Loch Lomond sea life centre or play a round of golf on one of the many local courses. Horse riding stables are close by and a wide variety of course and game fishing is available with permit on local rivers and the Loch.
Drymen is a lovely village situated on the West Highland Way (long distance walking route) and has plenty of places to eat out. The loch side town of Balloch is only a short car journey away with more options for eating out or takeaways. If you want a day off from hiking, biking or sailing then Stirling, with its historical sites, is only 30 minute drive away and Glasgow a similar distance with its many museums and shopping options.
There are endless things to do and see on the loch itself or at local attractions.
