Drumhead West Lodge is a detached house set in a lovely peaceful rural spot near the pretty Victorian seaside resort of Helensburgh (3m).
This traditional lodge house, which is all on one level, is warm and welcoming with a cosy sitting/dining room, kitchen, luxurious double bedroom and attractive shower room. To the rear is a mature, secluded garden with a pretty seating area.
There is a supermarket on the outskirts of Helensburgh where there is some interesting architecture including Rennie Mackintosh’s famous Hill House. Helensburgh has a beach and long pier and is also part of the official Argyll Sea Kayak Trail to Dunoon with the fascinating Captayannis ship wreck to look at en route. If walking is more your thing, a pretty trail leads from Cardross over to Balloch with beautiful views of Loch Lomond.
