On the edge of the small cluster of houses known as Carnduncan, nestled on a low ridge with beautiful west-facing views over a loch towards Islay's atlantic coast, Drumlanrig is an 1850s stone-built cottage providing characterful self catering holiday accommodation for up to 6 people. The location is peaceful and private without being isolated.
Close to an RSPB reserve, and within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Drumlanrig is surrounded by outstanding landscapes and wildlife. The coastline of sandy beaches, rock pools and wild Atlantic waves is just two miles away. Moorlands, peat-brown burns, rocky hillsides, ancient standing stones and medieval churches invite exploration; you can ride ponies, fish in a loch, buy local oysters and enjoy coffee in a small art gallery. A little further afield are cafes, restaurants, shops and of course distilleries. . .
