The space
Surroundings
Upon arrival you will drive down the magical lanes through ancient woods and mossy rocks, to this idyllic, unspoilt place. It is so green and alive, there is moss and lichen everywhere and the air is clean, pure and full of life. The loch is vast, beautifully framed by mountains behind. Situated in a Dark Sky area the stars at night are just spectacular and seem to go on forever.
You are likely to meet a plethora of wildlife. Deer on the lane peering at you through the trees, horses come for a nuzzle, Shetland ponies galloping with glee and sheep munching the grass in the fields. In the garden the birds are waiting to greet you with their songs. In the summer the hedges hum with the sound of bees. The rabbits play, the Red Kites soar overhead, circling as they hunt. At night you will hear the owls and maybe see a hedgehog, fox or badger.
You will feel as though you are in your very own fairy tale.

The Amelia Cow Kitchen is a large, well equipped modern kitchen/breakfast room with patio doors opening to your own private garden and views beyond. From here you can experience the magnificent sunsets that West Scotland has to offer.
The Goldfinch lounge/dining room, again large and cosy with an open fire and amazing views. A TV with built-in DVD player can be provided or removed. Our guests often find that they can spend hours just watching the views and that the window is better than any television!
A bathroom, which has a sink, toilet and bath with handheld shower attachment that can connect to the taps.
There is Wi-Fi with limited signal, making it perfect for the rural getaway where you can just leave all the hustle and bustle behind. Some mobile phones work well and some not so well, depending on your network.
