A 4 Star+, modern bungalow in an idyllic location with spectacular uninterrupted views across the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast,Cumbrae Isles & Kilchattan Bay.
The property is surrounded by beauty and stillness where Guests can relax and watch yachts in the bay, passing cruise liners, the Waverley paddle steamer, tall ships and submarines. This year our Guests have watched seals & dolphins at play and the occasional harmless basking shark. from the comfort of the cottage. Children have endless fun searching the rock pools or fishing for crabs & other marine creatures of interest.
Dykenamar is a much loved family home on half an acre of land with ever changing views over the river Clyde estuary. The bungalow occupies a prime position at the waterfront & is warm, welcoming, well equipped, & very comfortable. Relax in our comfortable lounge and just enjoy the constantly changing Firth of Clyde panorama as the light changes over the water. Garden furniture is also provided for the good days.
Located in glorious surroundings, Kilchattan bay is at the Southern tip of Bute, and is very peaceful as the road goes only to the village. The Southern leg of the 25 mile West Island Way starts within a mere few minutes walk from the bungalow.
Since welcoming our first Guests some ten years ago, they have been returning to Dykenamar, in the sure knowledge that they can rely upon the high standards which we achieve. Our "in house" Visitors book reflects holidays much enjoyed with our Guests returning time after time. This is a real "home from home", where all ages appreciate its comfort & warmth.
