The main hub of the house is the more formal lounge/dining room. Sit by the woodburning stove and enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple. The second sitting/breakfast room has a full size table, which is just ideal for the board game enthusiasts within the group. The bedrooms are spacious and bright with plenty of storage space for all of your belongings. The large, fully fenced, garden contains a little jewel known affectionately as 'the chalet'; here you can play table tennis or sit on the cosy cushions on the mezzanine area upstairs and enjoy watching a selection of video films – teenagers and adults alike are sure to love this great feature of the house! The area around the Moray/Aberdeenshire border has an abundance of outdoor activities for all to enjoy. Take the dogs for a walk on some of the coastal paths or hike up one of the surrounding hills near Eastertown itself. Golfers are spoilt for choice here: many courses are within a two hour drive of the property, including Castle Stuart Links, Trump International Links and Duff House Royal to name a few. Dolphin watching on the Moray Firth is within easy reach and sailing and fishing is available nearby. For the more adventurous, surfing is popular with many, so grab your board and ride those waves! On your way home, don’t forget to stop for some home made ice cream in Portsoy! Being just a short drive from many coastal communities like Banff, Sandend and Lossiemouth, you will have a chance to explore the historic harbours and long sandy beaches of The Coast Trail. For those with a taste for whisky, try following the Malt Whisky Trail and along the way sampling some of the areas fine local produce. A ride on the dog friendly Heritage Railway from Keith to Dufftown, the heart of Scottish Whisky production, is a great family outing. Don’t miss the Castle Trail either – nearby Duff House is a great place to start a tour of these beautiful historic buildings.
