Edgerston Cottage is a charming detached cottage set deep in the countryside near Jedburgh (7m), the ideal place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The open plan living area is double height with stylish seating around the gas stove and a whole wall of windows. At one end is a comfy TV area and shower room and the other end is given over to a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. Upstairs are an airy double bedroom and cosy twin bedroom. Outside the extensive garden is laid mainly to grass with a lovely decked seating area.
Jedburgh has a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants and historical sights to take in including Jedburgh Abbey and Mary Queen of Scots House. From the Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre (11.5m) a trail leads up to the Waterloo Monument, a 150 foot tower that you can climb to the top of for amazing 360 degree panoramic views of the whole of the Borders.
