Edradynate House is a simply wonderful country house enjoying the most glorious views across the Tay valley. The house has recently been comprehensively upgraded so all bedrooms are either en-suite or have their own bathroom making it ideal for large groups. The furnishings are classically comfortable and inviting – large rooms, antiques and absorbing artwork on the walls. A billiard room is a bonus for evening entertainment and the addition of a playroom with enormous TV plus a table tennis space is perfect for younger members. Open fires, conservatory, welcoming drawing room and sitting room along with a lovely formal dining room make this a house for socialising.
Outside there is plenty to keep everyone occupied. The estate stretches way up the hill to two trout lochs – perfect for learning to fish or for a picnic. There is clay pigeon shooting by arrangement as well as salmon fishing on the Tay. The gardens are simply beautiful with lawns, terraces, formal areas and of course miles of walks around the estate. Most of all it is the view that will entrance you for Strathtay is a beautiful glen – verdant and rural as only Scotland can be.
Nearby Aberfeldy is a busy attractive small town with good local shops and restaurants and of course the famous Dewars whisky distillery. This is a lovely area and a wonderful house, it can be offered catered or self catered and for short breaks or a great week holiday.
