Eildon Melrose is a collection of six charming holiday cottages and two luxury log cabins in a stunning location overlooking Melrose and the Tweed Valley. Each cottage sleeps 1-6 people and the log cabins sleep 4 (10 - 15% discount for 2 person occupancy).
Situated on a farm 15 minutes walk from Melrose town centre which is a perfect base from which to explore the whole Scottish Borders region.
The cottages are surrounded by tranquil open gardens and have far reaching views over the Tweed valley and Melrose. There are charcoal BBQs for guests use together with picnic tables for dining outside.
The log cabins have their own private enclosed gardens with a wood fired hot tubs, outdoor furniture and the most incredible views of the Eildon Hills. They also have webber charcoal BBQs and firepits with log seating areas for guests to enjoy.
Melrose, whose lovely high street is less than a mile away, has lots of interesting independant shops, cafes and restaurants.
We are in an ideal central location for touring the Scottish Borders with its rich history and varied array of outdoor pursuits and cultural attractions. Abbotsford, the home of the famous novelist, Sir Walter Scott, lies within four miles and in the area there is much of interest for naturalists, historians, gardeners, architectural enthusiasts and sportsmen and women.
The wonderful Scottish Borders countryside is unspoilt and relatively unknown. It is a land of great historical interest and breathtaking beauty. Edinburgh is an easy drive or 52 minute train ride to the north and the marvellous east coastline, with Holy Island and the great castles of Northumberland, is only an hour away. There is lots to see and do with a constant schedule of events.
Short breaks (minimum 3 nights) and longer stays are available.
All our properties welcome well behaved dogs (extra charge).
5 cottages are fully wheelchair accessible on the ground floors.
We have a total of 33 beds in all properties and welcome groups of all kinds from golf parties, fishing parties, wedding parties, walking and cycling groups and many others.
Our log cabins have 2 bedrooms and sleep 4 guests each.
