Pitlochry, in central Highland Perthshire, is an ideal base for touring or for visiting the well known attractions such as the Festival Theatre, the Hydro Electric Dam, and the Edradour and Blair Athol Whisky Distilleries. Other attractions, such as The House of Bruar, Blair Castle and the Queens View, are close by and can be reached by car or by the local bus service.Guests can learn more from the local Information Centre or by going on-line. The accommodation offered is on two levels, owner maintained and comprises of a lounge, dining room and kitchen on the lower floor and a double and twin bedroom and bathroom/walk in shower/toilet on the upper floor. The back door/ front door and windows are double glazed and have security locks. The garden to the front of the house overlooks the Church of Scotland (a listed building circa.1884-1888) and the hills beyond. There is off street parking for two cars. A garage offers secure space for bicycles/outdoor equipment and has drying facilities. Gas and electricity is included in the charge. The accommodation is non-smoking and unfortunately we cannot accept pets. The house is only 50 metres from the local food store and the nearest restaurant is 100 metres away.
The accommodation has gas central heating. The lounge has a feature electric fire and bt/tv essential with sports channels. A Wi-fi connection is available at no extra charge There is a separate dining room with a hi-fi system on the dresser and a highchair if required. The kitchen has a fridge/ice making compartment, a washing machine and electric oven/hob. A microwave oven toaster and kettle are on the worktop. Utensils and crockery are provided. Both bedrooms are equipped with linen/duvets/towels and a travel cot is available. The bathroom has a walk in shower wash hand basin/toilet/electric shaving point. A freezer and tumble drier are located in the garage.

Weekly bookings are accepted in units of complete weeks from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks (minimum 3 days) will be considered, but mainly off season, and at short notice.

Getting there by railway:- Proceed from the railway station in Pitlochry onto Station Road and continue until it meets Atholl Road. Travel up Atholl Road (The Main Street) and take the second right turn into west Moulin Road (just before pedestrian crossing). Pass the leisure centre on your left and the co-op store on the right then the town hall on your right. Take the next turn right (just after town hall) and Esk Cottage is the third house down Church Road.
Getting there by aeroplane:- After leaving Edinburgh Airport follow signes for the Forth Road Bridge (A8 West/M9/Slip road A8000). Cross the bridge and stay on the M90 to Perth. Join the A9 (Inverness) at Junction 10 and proceed north to Pitlochry (26miles).
