The house dates from 1811 and is beautifully furnished and decorated throughout, with all the usual amenities you would expect of a modern B&B including free wi-fi in all rooms and public areas.. Set in 5 acres of gardens, Ewich has a peaceful location with fantastic views of the surrounding hills but is also conveniently situated to allow visitors to take full advantage of most of Scotland’s larger towns and cities as well as enjoying the many local attractions on offer.
The area is perfect if you enjoy hiking, munro bagging (there are 20 munro’s within 10 minutes of the house) climbing, golfing, canoeing, cycling or walking the famous West Highland Way. If you prefer something a little less strenuous then the area is also ideal for touring by car and motorcycle or you can simply sit, relax and enjoy the stunning views from the house and gardens which are open for your use all day.
We are open all year so if you need a place to stay that feels just like home, with lovely comfy rooms, breathtaking views, delicious breakfasts and a warm, friendly welcome….from us and the menagerie of animals….then look no further!

PLACES TO EAT LOCALLY!
There are good places to eat close by in Crianlarich or Tyndrum as well as many excellent places a little further afield. We don’t have a curfew either so you can be out as late as you like! If you fancy having a drink then there is a good local taxi service. Tel No. is 01838 207211 or you can ask us to phone them for you.
Crianlarich (turn left and 5 minutes in the car!)
The local pub is the Rod and Reel
There is also the Crianlarich Hotel with takeaway Pizza
Tyndrum (5 minutes the other way in the car!)
Real Food Cafe which does fantastic fish and chips, fresh cooked to order so please be aware there might be a little wait. They also do loads of other things, pies, burgers, curries, veggie tempura, homemade soups and amazing fresh salads to name but a few and all are of the same high quality using impeccably sourced ingredients. Lighter bites such as scones and cakes are also available and baked by a lady in the village! You can eat in or take-away and we are more than happy for you to bring food back to the house.
Next is The Green Welly Stop, something of a legend in the area!
Next door is the Tyndrum Inn.
Further afield….
So, 15 minutes from here is The Bridge of Orchy Hotel which has a cosy, friendly feel. Turn right at the top of our drive and keep driving, go through Tyndrum following the sign for Fort William and then 10 minutes after you will reach the Bridge Of Orchy) You can eat in either the bar or restaurant but both are informal. The food is delicious and the menu varied so should please everyone. A restaurant type experience if you want something a bit special. Definitely recommended by us!
The Drovers Inn
A little further still….
The pretty little village of Killin is 25 minutes from here (turn left at the top of the drive, go through and out of Crianlarich and then keep driving straight for 20 minutes till you reach Lix Toll petrol station where you take the left turn signposted Killin. 5 minutes down this road you reach the village and the pub appears before the wee bridge on your left) and well worth a visit for the famous falls which are especially spectacular after rain and it does rain here occasionally……opposite the falls sits the Falls of Dochart pub which is a great spot to sit on a summers evening with a pint but it also does great food too. . There is also the Bridge of Lochay Hotel and the larger Killin hotel on the outskirts which are worth visiting too.
