Fairy Hill Cottage is a quaint, secluded Victorian cottage on the south east coastline of the Hebridean Isle of Islay. You will find Fairy Hill Cottage in Kildalton at the end of the Whisky trail past the distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and finally Ardbeg. Nestled in the heart of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with forest, beaches, and mountain views all at your doorstep, there couldn't be a better choice of location for your stay here on Islay. Located at the bottom of the magical Fairy Hill, where in folklore the Queen of the Fairies resides, the area and cottage are steeped in history and famed ancient local legends.
Cottage Details Fairy Hill Cottage has two double bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with a traditional open fireplace. The cottage is all on one floor and sleeps four people (two double bedrooms). The cottage has a surrounding garden. The garden has two seating areas with views of mountains, woodland and farmland and is only a short walk from the sea and the Kildalton Cross. For cosy nights in local logs (cut from only dead, fallen trees) will be provided for the fire, and a television with satellite free-view TV and DVD player. The kitchen has an electric cooker with grill, microwave, fridge, freezer, sink, kettle and utensils for cooking and dining. The dining table can seat six people. Milk, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided in the kitchen to welcome you on arrival. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, sink and toilet. All linens and towels are provided including complimentary toiletries. Please contact us if you would like to bring a pet. On occasion we allow small to medium-sized dogs at the cottage.
