The towns all boast excellent facilities ranging from quaint individual boutiques to fine dining in award winning restaurants to traditional tea and coffee shops. Strathmore is a lush, ten mile wide valley which runs north-east dividing the fertile Lowlands from the wild and majestic Highlands. The local country byways are perfect for quiet walks or cycling and this is the centre of fruit farming with delicious produce widely available. This area is a paradise for golfing, angling (fishing permits available locally at £20 per day) , field sports and ornithology. It also offers an excellent touring base to the mountains, lochs and glens of Perthshire and Angus as well as the beautiful coastline with clean sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages. The famous Gleneagles Golf Resort and Spa is only an hour’s drive away. Scone and Glamis Palace make an enjoyable day out. Additional room which can be used as a study with sofa bed (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children). Bathroom: on the first floor. Shower room and separate WC on the ground floor. Lounge: with doors leading to west-facing conservatory, TV, hi-fi and iPod dock. An extensive DVD collection with over 300 titles is available. Additional lounge/snug: with woodburner (logs provided). Dining room. Kitchen: well-equipped with range cooker, 5 ring gas hob, microwave, 2 fridge/freezers and dishwasher. Kitchen leads to south-facing breakfast room with patio doors. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Useful boot room.
