Located in Edderton and only 9 miles away from Dornoch, Fernabeg has the rural feel while not being far away from shops, café and pubs. Edderton is a small hamlet not far from the Dornoch Bridge. A short (7 minute) drive to Tain where you will find small local shops as well as supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and a bank. Crossing the Dornoch Bridge and 9 miles further on, the historic town of Dornoch has a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés and shops and of the course the infamous Cathedral. Both Dornoch and nearby Embo have fantastic unspoilt beaches. On the ground floor the lounge has comfortable seating for 7 guests, TV with Freeview and DVD player, wood burning stove. A selection of DVD’s, games and books. In the dining room there is a table and chairs for up to 8 guests. French doors to garden with decking area. The kitchen has an electric oven and stove top, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster and kitchenware. In the utility room there is a washing machine, clothes airier, iron board and iron. Shower room has a large shower, wash hand basin and toilet. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed, bedside unit with lamp, wardrobe, chest of drawers. The hallway door from the dining room can be locked to create a bedroom with en suite shower room. At other times the hallway door can be unlocked so all guests have access to the shower room. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed, bedside units with lights and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has 2 single beds bedside unit with lamp, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third and final bedrooms has bunk beds, bedside table with lamp and a wardrobe. The family bathroom has a bath with hand held shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Outside there is a good sized garden with grass. Lockable shed for storing golf clubs and bikes. Children’s outdoor toys. Decked area with table and chairs. Off-street private driveway with ample parking. By car - Continue north on the A9. As you approach the roundabout at the Dornoch Bridge continue straight on toward Bonar Bridge and Ardgay. After 3 miles you arrive at Edderton. Take the first on the right onto Station Road, this is also signposted as Balblair Distillery. After 70 metres turn right at the Village Hall onto Carrieblair Crescent. Follow the road. Follow the road, Fernabeg is on your right and has a sign at the front garden. There is a bus service that runs from Inverness to Tain. From Tain you can take other bus to Edderton. A car is recommended. We are the booking agent for the owners and can be contacted at our office in Dingwall during the following hours Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:00 and Saturdays 9:30 - 12:00 prior to your arrival. Prior to your arrival we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. No smoking. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4PM - 10PM. Check out time is 10am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, parking and 1 basket of logs are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies includes toilet rolls, complementary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.
