Fernielaw House bed and breakfast, a handsome B Listed 18th century mansion house in a charming semi-rural setting the accommodation has 4 guest rooms available. The house boasts many orginal features including stone dressings, crows stepped gables and walls are 6inch thick stone.The house was originally built in 1740 and extended in 1850s by renowed Scottish architect Sir Robert Lorimer.-, many famous Scottish people were said to have visited the property.
Set in a quiet, sought after area location in Colinton village and is within walking distance of the amenities of Colinton village as well as Colinton Dell and the Pentland Hills. there is a very good local Italian restaurant and a Scottish restaurant and 2 local bars which both serve good food.
The city centre is easily reached by the number 10 bus which runs every 15 mins into town (day and night).
The Pentland Hills are on your doorstep for those with a thirst for the hills.
