Ferry Cottage is a self catered accommodation situated outside Turriff in rural Aberdeenshire. The cottage was originally built for the ferryman who operated a ferry service crossing the River Deveron in a wooden rowing boat until as recently as the early 20th century.
The living area has a working fireplace and comfortable seating area. The separate dining room in the centre of the cottage provides a sociable area to eat while the newly refurbished kitchen comes fully equipped with utensils, tableware and modern appliances.
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 7* guests, with 4 bedrooms in total. In the main cottage, there is a single bedroom on the ground floor and two double bedrooms upstairs. To the front of the cottage, the annexe provides fantastic accommodation for two additional guests, with beautifully timber-clad walls and its own private shower room.
During the Summer months, the picnic area to the front of the cottage is a wonderful spot to enjoy al fresco dining and beautiful views across the river.
