The Lodge is a very pretty and comfortable house located on the island of Fetlar, part of the Shetland Islands.
It is part of the historic Leagarth Estate located within its own private garden. It benefits from stunning views over the bay and the headland of Lambhoga which can be seen from all the major rooms. The house is located in the centre of the island next to the pier and beach and within walking distance of the museum (where you can read the history of the Leagarth Estate).

The Lodge ranges from £350 in low season per week to £475 per week in high season
The Lodge was built in approximately 1905 by Sir Watson Cheyne (a pioneering surgeon) but has recently undergone extensive renovation which has sensitively updated the house whilst retaining original features.

The master bedroom has a large bay window and a luxurious super kingsize bed which can be converted into twin beds. It has a cupboard and chest of drawers. The second bedroom, also with views over the bay, has twin beds and a chest of drawers while the third bedroom looks over the hill and contains a double bed and chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with a shower. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
The house has unlimited wifi.
It has a good sized garden with a picnic area and parking for up to three cars.
Peerie House is located inside a walled garden next door to the Lodge. It also has wonderful views over the bay.
It has a good sized double bedroom with twin beds and a large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves.
The door opens from the garden into the sitting room which looks out over the bay and opens up into a galley kitchen. There is a generous shower room, while the attached shed contains the washing machine and tumble dryer.
The house has 24 hour wifi.

Fetlar is one of the prettiest islands in Shetland and is well known for its birdlife and spectacular coastline. For more information on Fetlar please visit this website. The island is a nature lover's and rambler's paradise. There are numerous varieties of seabirds, divers and waders but Fetlar is particularly famous for the red knecked phalarope, one of the few places in the British Isles where this wader can be found.
Seals and otters can be found along the coastline along with occasional whales, orcas and dolphins. For walkers there are endless beautiful walks along the stunning coastline.
There are superb sandy beaches which you normally have to yourself.
